Therapists for college students near University of Colorado Boulder
I work with adolescents and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression or have been through tough times and want to heal from trauma. College specifically can be a difficult time emotionally, moving into adulthood and living on your own for the first time. Therapy can be a great way to process these changes, learn new ways to cope with stress, and get resources and support. I'd love to chat.

I am is a bicultural therapist, mother and wife who is passionate about supporting my clients while they navigate their unique life, relationships, and transitions. I was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. I have a BA in Psychology and a master’s degree in Somatic Counseling Psychology from Naropa University. I am trained in trauma-based therapy and EMDR. I can support you both in English and Spanish. As a somatic therapist, I believe in the phenomenal connection between body and mind. I work to help her clients understand and establish a close relationship with their bodies. My somatic training supports the healing process by helping clients understanding how tuning into the nervous system alone can generate more wellbeing in daily life. I work with families, couples, children, teens and adults. As a therapist, I advocate and work with people of diverse backgrounds. My main lens is on the importance of how relationships shape who we are. I have experience working within various forms of attachment-based therapy and utilizes a trauma informed perspective to meet her clients where they are. My main purpose is to create a safe space to explore and unfold the process of self-discovery, healing, and growth. I am passionate about my clients and the specific supports they’re seeking and know how to apply my training at the level others can understand. When it comes to breaking down barriers, I believe in the power of understanding, exploring, and joining around challenges that can often lead to division and disconnection with self and others. In my work I find that it’s very important to feel seen and recognized in ways that are compassionate and respectful on all accounts. I like to laugh a lot and finds that rushing into things or placing timelines on major life processes can sometimes be unrealistic in the therapeutic setting. In my eyes I see that each of us has a unique understanding around our own timing and rhythm in the world, especially when challenged with life transitions. Offering therapy online.

I am passionate about my work and aim to build a collaborative partnership with my clients, fostering transformation, fulfillment, and growth. I believe in establishing trust and letting the present moment guide the therapeutic process. I work toward developing a deeper understanding of how our body sensations, mind, and emotions shape our sense of well-being. Throughout my 25 years of experience, I have worked with a wide range of counseling and therapy modalities. I'm bilingual in English and Hebrew and can offer services in both languages. One of the most important elements of therapy is finding the right fit. To explore whether working with me feels right for you, please email me at ornapele@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you.
I work best with students who feel overwhelmed by the pressure to keep everything together on their own. Many of my clients are juggling classes, relationships, family expectations, and their own mental health, and they're tired of pretending they're fine. I especially connect with students navigating anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, or big transitions like starting college, switching majors, or returning to school after time away. Clients often come in feeling stuck, stressed, or unsure of what they want, but they're also thoughtful, motivated, and ready for a space where they don't have to perform. If you're someone who wants support untangling what's working, what's not, and how to move toward a life that feels more balanced, grounded, and genuinely yours, we'll be a great fit.
Hey! My name is Elena, I use she/her pronouns, and I work with rebels, rioters, and revolutionaries. My practice is one that centers and celebrates authenticity, courageous exploration, and a collaborative, therapeutic relationship. In practice, this can look like taking the time to build trust and connection, pulling from a wide variety of modalities, and curiosity and silliness when needed (which I believe is often!) I have seen many therapists feel the need to rush into “fixing”; in my work, there is no rush and there is no “fixing”. Together, we will sit in the messy experience of being human; exploring and learning from our pain while uplifting and celebrating the joys. We will co-create your therapy experience, making it into whatever you need it to be in order to feel as safe as possible. I bring an anti-oppression and decolonization lens to the work of therapy, as this helps to ensure that I do my best to mitigate the harmful impacts of these systemic issues in the healing space. I will certainly make mistakes. I hope you do, too! These are opportunities for both of us to practice collective learning, unlearning, and healing. I believe that therapy is community. We may share certain identities and there will be those we do not share, yet it remains a community. Let's be in joyous community together!
I offer counseling and psychotherapy to a wide range of individuals and couples. My approach is integrative and collaborative and focused on the therapeutic relationship. The work will focus not only on what you feel and think, but also how you relate with others, how your body responds, and how meaning emerges through your lived experiences. Together we can explore patterns, bring awareness, cultivate compassion and find fresh perspectives to support you to thrive. At some point, many people realize that what they're doing is no longer working, but they're not sure what to do to fix it. I specialize in people (13+) and families who are dealing with conflict, self-defeating behaviors, anxiety, depression, stress, anger, loneliness, relationship issues, low self-esteem, or questions of identity. Through my practice, I've successfully helped clients move past issues that have blocked them from living fully, completely, and whole-heartedly. While working with me, they've been able to find more joy, happiness, success, and peace in the areas of their life that matter most to them. Together, we'll build your self-awareness, develop clarity on your goals and values, and foster an understanding of where you're coming from and where you'd like to go. I use several evidence-based modalities to help my clients do that, but the most important aspect of my practice is my relational, non-judgmental, open, direct, and clear approach. My work matters deeply to me and I feel a strong calling to give my clients my best, session after session. There's no better feeling I get than when my clients sense their progress and recognize that their life is changing in ways they've always longed for. If any of this has resonated with you, please don't hesitate to reach out. Let's talk.
