I came to this field out of a lifetime of curiosity about others and myself. My hope is to help channel your own curiosity and facilitate a journey of self-discovery, understanding, and renewed hope. The grief that comes from loss or change isn’t something to “get over” or “heal” from. Instead, I see grief as an experience that evolves and matures as we learn to adapt to our new reality and integrate these difficult changes into life after loss. None of us are exempt from experiencing grief, mourning, or large life changes. I’ve been there. That’s why I hope you will feel safe bringing me along on your journey. When I am not counseling, I am probably out there dealing with this messy life just like you, training for my next half marathon, at a yoga class or spending time with my family and friends. They would tell you I’m a great listener, caring, and empathetic. They might also share my penchant for bad puns and that I spend an inordinate amount of time planning my next meal. You might also want to know that I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (License # CSW003949) who received her MSW from the Smith College School for Social Work in 2004 and received a BA in Psychology from the University of Vermont. I have worked in various care settings including Inpatient, Outpatient and Managed Care. I have experience treating individuals and couples with a range of issues including eating disorders, marital issues and grief. I offer free 15 minute consultations. Not unlike many within this field, my own experiences with mental health influenced my decision to become a therapist. Through my own struggles in my young life, I found a passion for hearing other people’s experiences and empowering others to identify and utilize their strengths in moments of hardship. A couple of areas I specialize in navigating are: Ideas of perfectionism Developing self-compassion Exploring one’s cultural identity Coping with and understanding feeling “not good enough" Overcoming the stress of living up to expectations (cultural, intrapersonal, societal, parental) Setting boundaries Feeling torn between two or more cultures Feelings of shame, worry, or guilt I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist and I have a particular skill in working with people of color, first and second-generation immigrants, and folks new to therapy. Additionally, I deeply understand, honor, and respect the South Asian and Middle Eastern religions and cultures.

Hi, I'm glad you are reaching out for help and to begin the process of self-discovery. Due to COVID, I'm currently providing only telehealth sessions. We can all encounter barriers — often these are out of our awareness — that prevent us from thriving in our careers and in relationships. I believe the therapeutic relationship offers a unique opportunity in the here-and-now to increase our self-awareness and understand the influence of the past on our present behavior. I work collaboratively, empathically and creatively to help you get “unstuck” and to foster meaningful, lasting change in your inner world and in your relationships with others. Over the years, I have worked with people who are experiencing challenges related to college, work, intimate relationships, identity (cultural, racial, sexual, gender, class – and intersections of these), trauma, grief, adjustments or transitions, anxiety and depression. I have worked for many years with graduate and undergraduate students.
At Modern Path, we utilize evidence and strength approaches with a focus on individualized care. Each of us has specialties that reflect the unique needs of gender, sexuality, and relationship structure minorities.

Let’s be real — asking for help feels hard. We’ve been taught that being the “strong one” means doing it all alone. That needing support somehow makes us weak, messy, or not put-together enough. Whether it’s from family, culture, or social media… the pressure to look like you’ve got it all figured out is exhausting. But here’s the truth: asking for help is a power move. It means you’re self-aware enough to know when something's off — and brave enough to do something about it. Healing doesn’t make you broken. It makes you real. It makes you whole. As your therapist, I’m not here to “fix” you — I’m here to help you find yourself again. Together, we’ll unpack what’s been heavy, rewire some patterns, and create space for you to breathe, grow, and show up as her — the version of you that’s confident, grounded, emotionally free, and fully in her power. Struggling with anxiety or overthinking? Tired of toxic relationships or feeling like you’re never enough? Burning out trying to keep it all together? It’s time to choose you. Not the perfect version. Not the polished mask. The real you — in progress, healing, and glowing. Let’s do the inner work, set the boundaries, and walk in purpose. Because the goal isn’t perfection. It’s progress.
Welcome! I am so glad you are taking the time to look over my profile and get to know me better. It takes a lot of courage and vulnerability to seek out counseling. I believe in the power of therapy and the healing it can bring in one's life. My therapeutic approach is a collaborative approach, meaning as your therapist, I will work with you to help you gain insight and develop coping skills that will make an impactful difference in your life. I always prioritize our relationship and want you to feel safe and accepted for who you are. My clients appreciate my authentic personality, my humor, and my ability to empathize with them. Many of my clients come to therapy to gain a better understanding who they are, where they come from, and where they want to go. Sometimes clients come to therapy for just a handful of sessions and find that they got what they needed in that time. Others may find that they benefit from going to therapy for months or even years. There is no right or wrong way. However, you get as much out of therapy as you put in, so it's important to be an active participant in and out of the session. If I feel that I am not equipped or trained in what you are needing from therapy, I am happy to refer you to another professional who may be a better fit. Finding the right therapist is key in experiencing the full benefits therapy can bring! I encourage you to check out my practice's website and contact me via email or phone to get started! I am happy to provide a free 15 minute phone consultation to learn more about what you are needing in therapy and if I will be a good fit for you!

I specialize in performance anxiety and high achievement challenges among musicians, graduate students, and creative professionals. Clients may look like they’re doing “fine” on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck internally. Many of my clients struggle with perfectionism, self-doubt, or fear of not measuring up even after success. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices such as ACT, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral strategies. I aim to create a space where you can think clearly, feel understood, and build tools that actually work in real life — whether that’s managing anxiety, rebuilding confidence, or navigating a major life transition. Therapy with me is practical, thoughtful, and growth-oriented. You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit. Sometimes you just need space to reset, reflect, and move forward with clarity. Before I was a therapist I was a music professor, and I watched talented, driven students strive for excellence while quietly struggling with anxiety and self-doubt. Many were trying to meet not only external expectations, but the very high standards they set for themselves. Over time, I began to see a real need for therapists who truly understand the intense pressure of performance-driven environments. That realization led me to pursue clinical training. I understand what it feels like to care deeply about your work, your performance, and your future. I spent years in higher education and the performing arts, so I know firsthand the pressure that can come with auditions, exams, presentations, and high expectations. My path into therapy grew out of a desire to support people navigating those same pressures with greater clarity, steadiness, and confidence.
