My practice is focused on the use of Cognitive Behavior Therapy ("CBT") to reduce symptoms of anxiety, panic and/or depression. Most of the work deals with your present and future. I am goal-oriented and practical while very mindful of the emotions and relationship factors related to feeling better. My current practice is fully remote.

Life can feel overwhelming with transitions, life stressors, relationship, past traumas and the relentless pace of modern living. These pressures can leave unresolved pain and unmet needs that impact our daily function, growth and relationships. My approach focuses on creating a safe space where we can explore your unique experiences, process trauma, uncover your inner strength and enhance our expression of self and compassion. In our work together, we’ll delve into understanding your life patterns and rhythms, allowing us to develop a more mindful and holistic approach to living. By enhancing self-awareness and self-expression, we can address the emotional and physical effects of life's challenges, fostering healthier relationships with yourself and others. If you’re ready to invest time in yourself, I’m here to support you on this journey. Even if you’re unsure, you’re welcome to explore this space for growth and healing. You might be carrying the weight of so many untold stories and unfulfilled dreams within you, buried beneath years of struggle. Through the questions you've been navigating as you journey into the unknowns of your self and your life. I specialize in working with complex trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment issues, low self-esteem, and dating/ relationship challenges. Because each person is different, psychotherapy is an individual, unique process. I draw from a range of experiential and evidence-based approaches including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), psychodynamic therapy, and expressive arts therapies. *Our practice is now accepting new students for individual counseling* Much of our suffering is stored throughout our body, leaving us with a racing mind and feelings of stress, anxiety, depression. By approaching healing through a lens that incorporates the whole-body, we will work together so that you can heal fully and sustainably. I specialize in working with individuals faced with persistent anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. Many of these symptoms will manifest in relationship issues, difficulty sleeping, or poor motivation. Together we will explore the root causes that perpetuate your suffering and develop strategies so that you can lead a more fulfilling and joyful life. I am a clinical social worker, yoga & mindfulness teacher. I blend my degree as a clinician along with training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Yoga Therapy to offer an integrative approach to treatment. I believe that in order to truly heal, we must honor our whole-body and mind working together. My mission is to uncover the most effective paths for guiding others in reducing suffering and increasing a sense of joy and fulfillment in everyday life. Professionally and personally, I have gathered experience, evidence, and strategies for enhancing life and uncovering “what it’s all about”. I wish to share this with you.

I collaborate with adults as they heal from trauma, anxiety, loss, depression, other mood issues, or any number of matters leaving them feeling somehow ineffective. As a clinician for over nineteen years, I will join with you to identify and transform painful obstacles, arising from past and/or present challenges, which hinder you from making healthy changes. Drawing especially from Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), we will journey together to access your core nature, the Self, more spontaneously. This leads to clarity and calm over internal and external challenges you face, resulting in heightened creativity and effectiveness with problem solving, relationship building, and goal attainment. I believe you possess all necessary strengths and pathways to answers for improving your life, but may be having difficulty accessing them at present. I welcome individuals who are gay, lesbian, or bisexual, including those questioning or seeking help adjusting to leading more open, fulfilled lives with however they identify themselves. The IFS model utilizes a non-pathologizing, mind-body focus. Drawing from the natural strengths existing within each of us, IFS and EMDR guide a person into taking the lead in one's own healing process, no matter how traumatic a background one may have lived through. On 5/4/14, I completed the Level 2 IFS training. On 3/12/17, I completed the basic EMDR training. I accept these insurances: BCBS and Medicare.

My degree is from Northeastern University where I graduated with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and became Licensed in 1996. Most recently, I was the Director of Psychology for Wrentham Developmental Center and an Area Psychologist for the Department of Developmental Services. Previously, I had my own private practice where I facilitated numerous social groups, provided individual and family therapy, and served as a Consultant to Cranston ARC, and Bristol Community College. In joining Needham Psychotherapy Associates, I am returning to my passion for clinical work. My approach would be considered eclectic, involving systems work, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, positive behavioral supports, and psychodynamic or insight-oriented work. In my view, the modality of therapy is often determined by the issues that one presents with as well as the style and comfort level of both the therapist and the client. It is important to me that the process of therapy is collaborative, sometimes humorous, and that clients are empowered to make choices in the course of their treatment. Simultaneously, I think there are times when clients need to be challenged to make further growth and progress. I love stories and the stories of people’s lives. In therapy, my style would involve asking a lot of open-ended questions to learn more about your story and your journey. Therapy should involve clients feeling, safe, challenged, and learning strategies and approaches to handle your problems more effectively. In the end, ideally clients will feel better about themselves and their world. Most definitely, I believe that there are times that clients should laugh in therapy, as humor and laughing are an important part of healing. I love working with young adults and the new ways they have of looking at the world as well as helping them navigate their present challenges and future transitions.

I believe that how we interact with others in the present often grew out of lessons learned earlier in life. Sometimes, people use strategies to cope with situations that once made sense but are no longer effective or useful. I also believe that everyone has strengths that can help guide decisions and behaviors in the present. I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy, where we become travelers on your journey; we look at concerns, explore their origins and feelings that arise, and discuss how to view and handle situations here and now. I blend developmental and clinical approaches to help individuals understand difficulties within the context of typical stages of life. Treatment is geared to individual needs, and I draw on a variety of theoretical orientations (e.g., Psychodynamic, CBT, and Humanistic therapies). I work with individuals from a wide range of ethnic, cultural, and economic backgrounds, and I have a special interest in gender identity and sexual orientation (LGBTQIA+). I have helped clients with concerns including, among several others, depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, and life transitions. Please visit my website for more information: www.everbreezepsych.com

My clients don't come to therapy to hear someone nod and agree with everything they say. That isn't worth their time or money. They want real help. They want to know "what to do" and "how to fix it" because they are struggling with depression, severe anxiety, relationship problems, trauma, suicidal thoughts, parenting issues, and other painful situations. They're looking for a true expert that they can actually talk to. I am a member of PSYPACT which means I can see clients in every state that is a member of PSYPACT. I'm also licensed in both TN and MA. I'm a DBT-Linehan Board Certified Clinician and an expert in Borderline Personality Disorder, anxiety disorders, PTSD, self-harm, and oppositional adolescents. I am an Associate faculty member at Vanderbilt University and have served as a trainer and consultant for a variety of hospitals, schools, and the military. I founded and own PSYCHē, PLLC, a private network of therapists across multiple states. Our job is to pair our clients with great clinicians all over the country. PSYCHē also offers various Standard DBT skills groups and Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT) skills classes online ranging from $100-$125. New members can begin right away! Visit www.psychepllc.com/groups for more information about groups, meeting times, or to enroll online. Changing people's lives for the better is my life's purpose and where I get a sense of meaning. I love my job :) I look forward to meeting you.

Adjusting to new cultures as an immigrant, starting a new career as the only queer person in your company, learning how to navigate spaces of affluence as a new university student from a working-class background, and other major life adjustments can be some of our most challenging life experiences, especially when our ability to cope and adjust is limited by difficult traumatic memories and the resulting constant feeling of being overwhelmed. A therapeutic approach that centers your cultural and material realities can help you overcome and build resilience. I use an eclectic therapeutic approach incorporating various evidence based modalities in client centered, and culturally responsive way to facilitate the processing of traumatic memories, develop effective coping strategies to confront activating reminders of trauma, and ultimately support you as you rebuild relationships and pursue new opportunities. To help someone heal from trauma is a radical act, and I am always honored to be trusted by survivors to do this work. I believe that we are all deeply connected and that my healing and liberation is tied up with yours. I am excited to join you on your journey of growth and recovery. Please know that you are not a burden, and I am here to support you. Please reach out for a free initial consultation. We can discuss your needs. If it seems like we are not aligned due to finances or other reasons, I can help direct you to more appropriate resources. I was once in your shoes, and want to be the support I could have used back then.
