I truly believe that everyone has the capacity to grow when they’re in a space that feels safe and accepting. At the heart of my work is building a genuine, trusting connection with you—because real healing begins when you feel truly seen, heard, understood, and accepted. Together, we’ll create a warm and welcoming space where vulnerability is embraced and self-exploration feels comfortable. Above all, I’m here to hold space for you with kindness and openness, honoring your unique needs, passions, experiences, wisdom, and hopes for the future. Specializations I’m especially passionate about supporting adults who grew up with caregivers who, for various reasons, may not have met their emotional needs.Together, we work to heal from those early experiences, find your true voice, clarify what matters most to you, and create a life that feels authentic, grounded, and free. I work with clients ages 15 and up to navigate challenges related to: Childhood relational trauma, emotionally immature parents, & unmet emotional needs Relationship patterns, boundaries, people-pleasing, & guilt Exploring identity, values, & personal growth Identity diffusion & enmeshment Shame, self-doubt, & indecisiveness Life transitions & emerging adulthood Grief & loss Anxiety, depression, & low self-worth Emotional regulation & distress tolerance Could We be a Good Fit? Clients who tend to do well with me often appreciate a little lightheartedness or humor during our sessions and enjoy putting what we talk about into practice between meetings—sometimes through small homework or weekly goals. Many have found it helpful to bring their creative interests into our work, which helps us build a space where you can feel safe, inspired, and free to be your authentic self. I’ve also noticed that adolescents, young adults, and college students often feel especially comfortable and connected in our time together. Therapeutic Approaches My approach to therapy is primarily rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Together, we’ll explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors with curiosity and work toward making the changes you’d like to see in yourself. For those who resonate with this approach, I incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS) to support compassionate exploration of your inner parts. I also use a person-centered and trauma-informed lens, honoring the impact of your life experiences and creating a space where all parts of you are welcome. While CBT and IFS are my go-to methods, I like to keep things flexible, drawing from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to tailor our work to what feels right for you. My hope is that you find a space in therapy that feels human, welcoming, and uniquely yours. If you think we might be a good fit, I’d love to connect and explore how we can work together in a way that supports your growth. I currently offer teletherapy sessions at River Wards Wellness Collective. I've served college students in the university setting for over 20 years, as an academic advisor and counselor on multiple campuses. I have specific experience working with students to help them navigate personal, academic, career, social, stress, wellness, and relationship issues. I have enjoyed particularly assisting students in exploring their identities, managing stress, creating successful academic and experiential strategies and schedules, motivation, selecting a major, deciding up on a career focus, addressing anxiety and depression, navigating life changes, improving relationships, and growing their confidence and self-esteem. I implement practical, goal-oriented treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, and Psychoeducation to help clients recognize thoughts and behaviors that are no longer serving them as they incorporate new strategies for moving forward. I want to enable students to achieve their best potential, question themselves less, and live their most joyful lives.

Embarking on a journey towards mental well-being takes both vulnerability and courage. Therapy is a transformative space where vulnerability turns into strength, and courage takes the helm of your healing journey. As your collaborative partner, I would be honored to walk alongside you and support you as you navigate life's challenges and discover the strength within you. About Me: I am a therapist rooted in the foundational principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), meaning I focus on the intertwining of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. My approach to therapy is enriched by a versatile blend of various modalities, including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I also utilize skill-building modalities, such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to assist clients in working towards their goals in therapy. My approach is individualized to support the specific needs of each client. During our time together, it is my hope that you feel empowered to explore, express, and grow, that you feel supported to show up authentically as yourself. Specialization: I bring a wealth of experience supporting clients on identity formation/exploration, anxiety, depression, body image, postpartum issues, ADHD, Autism, and those who are a part of the foster care/adoption community. I have extensive experience working with adolescent and young adult clients. While I do not work with couples, I have worked extensively with individuals who are hoping to improve their relationships with others by enhancing interpersonal communication skills such as conflict resolution and assertive communication. I have been able to assist clients with navigating new relationships and relationship changes (such as divorce or separation), processing infidelity, and navigating child/caregiver and adult child/parent relationships. I will often address relational issues through an attachment lens, and process the impact that attachment styles have on one’s interactions and behaviors in relationships. I am also passionate about supporting individuals living with chronic illnesses and disabilities. Having walked a similar path, I deeply understand the intricacies of such experiences. I bring not only professional expertise but also a deep well of empathy. Together, we will navigate the intricacies of your struggles with compassion and understanding. Flexibility: I meet with clients both in-person at our West Chester office and virtually via telehealth, My commitment to your well-being and growth remains, regardless of the medium. I have over 20 years of experience in mental health and has worked in a variety of settings including community mental health, school based therapy, higher education and independent practice. I began my career working with children and families who experienced abuse, neglect and other traumas. Through this challenging work, I was extensively trained in the treatment of trauma and developed a philosophy of therapy that supports each individual where they are and focuses on their resilience and capacity to heal. In addition to trauma informed practices, I have training in the following areas: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Art and Play Therapy techniques, Mindfulness, Tele-Health Practices, Family Systems and Attachment Theory. I have experience with the following clinical concerns: stress management, depression, anxiety, mood regulation, social anxiety, relationship and family distress, attention and motivation challenges, self-esteem, perfectionism, and grief. I have a particular passion for helping individuals develop healthy boundaries and heal from toxic relationships.
Are you struggling with grief, anxiety, self-worth issues, trauma or everyday personal relationships? A supportive connection and listening ear can make a world of difference. My approach is to create a supportive partnership where we work together solving problems, discovering solutions and experiencing greater peace. My goal is to support you in having a better understanding of your inner world, to gain perspective about who you are in relationships and to increase overall health. Most importantly, I want to know the life you want for yourself and help you reach that vision.
My therapy style is rooted in rational thinking and empathetic listening. Reminding clients to recognize the power they hold in their own lives. I work collaboratively with my clients to increase self-worth and reframe faulty or problematic narratives and patterns. Creating an environment of safety and validation to support individuals in overcoming past and/or current obstacles and creating change in their lives. I'm also a big believer in nature being innately healing as well as it sometimes being easier to talk while outside or moving. So, I offer hiking or walking or sitting outdoors while conducting therapy. I like to work with anxiety, including OCD and social anxiety, depression, ADHD management, trauma, self esteem development, body image issues and communication skills. I often work with immigrants or children of immigrants and we work to overcome intergenerational trauma. We work to develop empathy and strength to create new paths.

If it's taboo, I want to talk about it. I like to keep it real—laughter, tears, swear words. These are all useful tools in therapy, and in life. I believe that therapy is more than me asking, “How do you feel about that?” Therapy can inspire growth, change, and self-acceptance. It is a discussion. A process. An adventure (even if it’s a f*cking messy one). I can’t promise you that it won’t be a bumpy ride—the road of personal growth is often anything but smooth. But I can promise you this: I value the role I will play in your journey and I will be there for every (uneven, messy, unpleasant) step of the way. I am a LGBTQIA+ and relationship minority affirming therapist. My approach is fueled by 100% authenticity and a sincere passion for helping others arrive as their authentic selves. By arriving as MY authentic self, I can do my best work and best help you. And it is my hope that you will soon realize that your authentic self is actually "the best you", too. So, let's talk about it. The grimy. The "embarrassing". The difficult. Let's help you finally move from simply surviving day-to-day and feeling "stuck", to feeling like you are living a life of purpose and intention (yeah, that's a thing). I'd be so honored to be a part of your journey. (Just leave your swear jar at home.)
Starting therapy can feel like a big step—especially if you’re used to pushing things down, holding it together for everyone else, or telling yourself, “I should be fine by now.” Maybe part of you wants support & another part is unsure, tired, or scared to open things back up. If that’s you, it makes a lot of sense. Many of the people I work with feel stuck in patterns like people-pleasing, constant self-doubt, overthinking, or feeling burned out. You might feel on edge all the time, replay conversations in your head, or struggle to trust yourself & your choices. Others come in carrying the weight of trauma.
