We are a group practice led by Dr. Kevin Ganey, clinical psychologist specializing in adolescents and young adults. He has worked with students, male and female, ages 8-28. He specializes in cognitive therapy, CBT and DBT. He has worked with athletes, females struggling with body image/anorexia and bulimia, ADHD, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation Bipolar Disorder, and stress. There are currently three colleagues working under Dr. Ganey. Dr. Saul, LPC works with young adults to adults, individual and couples. Shey Daniels, MS and Lauren Greenewald, MS, are pre-licensed counselors working under Dr. Ganey's supervision and work on a sliding scale, $90-$40 per session. Both counselors work well with young adults as they are completing their 3000 hours of supervised training post masters.
For nearly 20 years, I have worked with adolescents and young adults who have anxiety, mood disorders, gender identity issues, family conflicts and trauma from many different backgrounds. There is no single case that is identical to another, and everyone has their own unique story. I want to hear your story so that I may join your journey to heal. My main approaches are CBT, Family Systems Theory, EMDR, and somatic approaches. I also incorporate Eastern philosophy and focus on the mind-body connection to assist clients in understanding their challenges and rediscovering their authentic selves. As a person who came to the United States as a teen, I personally understand the pressure to succeed, the challenges to navigate the US college system, and the loneliness that limited resources and guidance that first generation college students go through. I have also advocated for people of color and the LGTBQ+ population in an effort to improve equality and deal with human rights issues many years. I strive to provide a safe environment for all of my clients without judgment. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
If you're feeling overwhelmed at times, reaching out for support is a great first step. I offer a nonjudgmental space where you can work toward your goals. My approach is collaborative, practical, and strengths-focused. With over 25 years of experience, I help students navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and OCD. I understand how much these challenges can impact daily life, and you don’t have to handle them alone.
Over the last 13 years of being a therapist I’ve had the privilege to meet and treat so many people, each of whom was on their own journey to better mental health and now my own career journey has led me here. I started Caim Counseling as a place for people to address their mental health so that they can be empowered to heal. I believe strongly in meeting people where they’re at and tailoring mental health care treatment to what each individual needs. I have an eclectic approach which leans towards Person-Centered therapy and have done additional work in areas like women’s issues, eating disorders, anxiety, grief, and LGBTQIA+ specific concerns. I believe strongly in the equality of all people and am committed to having an inclusive practice. I can’t wait to meet you and see how we can work together to get you to a place of better mental health.
