Therapists for college students near Austin, TX
There ISN’T anything “wrong” with you, you are human and you have lived experiences, some harder than others, but that is where working together to understand those parts of yourself can help! Life can be unpredictable, and at times, deeply challenging. But within each of us lies a quiet strength — Resilience. It's not about avoiding struggle, but about finding the courage to face it, adapt, and grow. In this space, we honor your story, your challenges, and your capacity to heal. Whether you're just beginning your journey or continuing along the path, we're here to walk with you — helping you reconnect with your resilience, one step at a time. At the heart of this work is a deep commitment to equity, justice, and collective healing. This is a space where all identities are seen, respected, and celebrated — where your full humanity is never up for debate. I practice from an anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and decolonized lens, acknowledging the ways systemic oppression, intergenerational trauma, and cultural erasure impact our mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Healing does not happen in isolation — it happens in relationship, in context, and in community.
I view my role as a therapist much like that of a guide as well as a teacher. I work to help clients build and maintain the necessary tools they already have existing within themselves and lead clients to new discoveries of living life in a more balanced way. Through utilizing existing tools, as well as learning new possibilities of living, clients are able to reach their full potential for prolonged success. The foundational approaches I choose to work from are person centered, and mindfulness based. I also utilize experiential forms of therapy. I specialize in working with life transitions, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, substance abuse/addiction, spiritual identity, and helping to develop coping mechanisms/tools to reduce stress. I work with both men and women, young adults, and adults. Finding the right counselor can be a difficult process. I want to make sure we are going to be a good fit and that's why I offer a free 15min initial phone consultation. I look forward to working with you.
Hey there! Happy to see you in my little corner of ThrivingCampus. I currently have over 8 years experience working with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship based complications/attachment wounds, stress management, addiction/substance abuse, self esteem complications, trauma focused care for PTSD, ADHD, and much more. I'm a big proponent of meeting you where you're at on your healing journey, as well as empowering you to create a healthier version of yourself. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate, nonjudgmental, and generally enjoyable environment for you to flourish within. We're two people with the same goal: helping you. A little more about myself: I really enjoy music, playing video games with my wife, attending renaissance faires, playing D&D (when schedules allow for it), and am a proud cat dad. Looking forward to working with you!

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Texas (licensed in both Texas and California), I specialize in providing support and guidance to individuals navigating ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence. My online practice is built on a foundation of empathy, multicultural competence, and the creation of safe, nonjudgmental space for all clients. I believe every person's journey is unique and deserves an approach tailored to their specific needs. By integrating evidence-based practices with a deep understanding of neurodivergent experiences, I help clients uncover their strengths, develop tools for success, and to live authentically in a world that was not created for them
Hi there! I am so happy you're here. I know starting therapy can be a little overwhelming and I am here to answer any questions you may have. Does it feel like your mind never fully shuts off? You may feel exhausted all day but wide awake at night, replaying conversations, worrying about tomorrow, or feeling stuck in a cycle of disconnection from yourself or the life you want to be living. I understand how draining it can feel when your mind won’t slow down while you’re still trying to keep up with everything life is asking of you. I can help you work through anxiety, insomnia, and burnout by giving you practical tools for what you’re dealing with now while also helping you understand how past experiences may still be affecting you. Together, we'll identify patterns that are keeping you stuck while building strategies to improve your mental wellness and reconnect with yourself in a more compassionate way. I take a collaborative approach and use evidence-based practices to help you create meaningful, lasting change that feels realistic for your lifestyle and personal needs. Therapy can be a space to help you slow down, feel supported, and make sense of what you're going through. In our first session, we'll focus on understanding what's bringing you to therapy and begin creating a plan that supports the changes you want to make in your life. If you feel like we may be a good fit, I would love to connect and answer any questions.

College can feel like a lot sometimes. Maybe classes, friends, or just life in general feels overwhelming or confusing right now. If that’s where you’re at, you’re definitely not alone and I’m here to help. I work best with students who are juggling a bunch but want to feel more calm and like themselves again. Maybe anxiety or stress is getting in the way or you just want some space to figure things out without feeling judged. When we work together, it’s a relaxed, down-to-earth space where you can be honest and take things at your own pace. We’ll find little ways to help you feel stronger and more confident in what you’re dealing with. If you want someone who gets it and can support you, I’d love to connect.
Do you feel like you're carrying the weight of the world, but no one can see it? Do you feel unheard in your relationship? It can be hard to put emotions into words, especially when feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in patterns that seem impossible to break. The desire for peace is there, but knowing where to begin can feel daunting. Relationship conflict, whether with a partner, spouse, or loved one, can leave you feeling misunderstood, exhausted, and disconnected. Do the same arguments resurface? Does it sometimes feel like no matter how much you try, nothing changes? Supporting individuals struggling with mental health is a passion of mine. From the very first session, I aim to create a sense of safety and ease for my clients. With an empathetic approach and mindfulness, therapy helps you slow down, breathe, and begin untangling the thoughts you may have been avoiding. Therapy with me isn’t just about talking. It’s about creating space for stillness and self discovery, learning tools to cope, and finding the strength to move forward. If you’re feeling lost or weighed down, this is a place where healing begins. Let’s embark on a journey together, one where healing, growth, and meaningful relationships become possible.
Many of the people I work with seem to have spent a fair amount of time wondering if they are somehow doing "being a person" incorrectly. The overthinkers. The deep feelers. The people who have always felt a little different. A little out of step. Or like everyone else received instructions they themselves somehow missed. Some are navigating trauma, anxiety, life transitions, or questions about who they are and how they want to move through the world. Many have spent a long time trying to make sense of things on their own. Therapy is not a place where you need to arrive polished, certain, or put together. It is a place where curiosity is welcome, questions are welcome, and most importantly, you are welcome. P.S. Consider this your official welcome to the Human Being Club. Your unpolished, un-edited pages are honored here.
Hi! Thank you for checking out my profile. Here's little bit about me...I specialize in a variety of areas, including anxiety, depression, relationships, and more. I do focus on supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals, Black, Indigenous, Latine, Asian, and other people of color, and people living with HIV. I have online sessions for anyone living in Texas, and work with folx 18 years old and up.
I earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree specializing in Psychiatry from The University of Texas at Arlington. I am proud to say I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am a true believer that not one of my fellow humans is immune to stress, anxiety, and feelings of sadness at some point in their life. We all find ourselves feeling vulnerable at times. It is completely normal to question why we feel the emotions that we do, why we seem to fall apart at times, and better yet, how we can get through it all in one beautiful piece. I think the first step to meaningful recovery from anxiety, depression, complex mental illness, and/or substance use is to reach out and ask for help. It is a difficult, but very brave action. I am not one to judge, look down on, question your past experiences, or current situation. I am very good at rationally breaking down a situation and I can offer practical advice and medication suggestions depending on your goal in mind. “It’s always best to believe in one’s self, but a little help from others can be a great blessing!” I view each person as the main character in their book of life. Each book contains stories of joy, sadness, exploration, struggle, and most importantly, HOPE. My goal to assist in exploring these stories, whether you encounter depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, intersectional struggles, or self-esteem issues...I am especially sensitive to those impacted by LGBTQ issues, religious minorities, activists, uniformed public servants, and those experiencing depression. I utilize a multiculturally sensitive approach, borrowing from ACT, DBT, MBCT, mindfulness, narrative, and solution-focused therapies to develop a collaborative and eclectic style to treatment, tailored to your needs. Cultures all over the world have a common truth: life is suffering. Through therapy, I hope to create a safe and empowering environment to help you withstand and overcome that suffering. I welcome you to reach out to start this journey.

I’ve been where you are. I remember carrying 18+ credit hours, trying to keep up with classes, friendships, and life while wondering if I was on the right path. I changed my major what felt like a million times—from musical theatre to fashion merchandising, journalism, and public relations/advertising—before eventually becoming a teacher and then finding my calling as a therapist. Life doesn’t always follow a straight line, and that’s okay. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, ADHD, relationships, trauma, or simply trying to figure out what’s next, I want therapy to be a place where you feel understood, supported, and never judged. If I don’t accept your insurance, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I’m happy to work with private-pay clients and can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement if your plan includes out-of-network benefits. I’m also happy to answer any questions and help you figure out the most affordable option.
