If you’re battling trauma, addiction, an eating disorder, or just feeling lost- I know how it feels to be told that your issues are “too complex” or that you’re just “too broken” to fix. I’ve worked with so many people who have been disappointed by therapy in the past, people who felt unheard, misunderstood, or let down by unprofessional providers. I get it, and I’m here to tell you that this time can be different. When we work together, we’re not just going through the motions. We’re diving into the heart of what’s holding you back, together. I’ve helped countless clients, just like you, break free from the cycles of pain, addiction, disordered eating and toxic habits. Many of them are now living free, healed, and empowered lives. The therapists at Olive Branch Counseling provide a supportive and understanding environment where healing and growth are not just goals but achievable realities. I'm Lara, and I help overwhelmed moms who are carrying it all — the emotions, the decisions, the schedules, the invisible weight that no one else seems to see. If you’re feeling anxious, exhausted, and like you’ve lost yourself somewhere in the chaos of motherhood, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to keep doing this alone, either. As an LPC and mom of three, I deeply understand what it’s like to feel stretched thin, emotionally drained, and unseen. My work centers on helping women navigate the mental load of motherhood, find space to breathe, and reconnect with themselves. You don’t have to explain why you’re tired. You’ll be met with compassion, curiosity, and strategies that meet you exactly where you are. I hold Master’s degrees in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I’ve spent years helping women move through some of the hardest, most tender seasons of their lives. You’ve been showing up for everyone else — now it’s time for someone to show up for you
Hi! My main goal is always to help my clients to help themselves, so you feel empowered to embrace stress and change as it comes. With experience working in an eating disorder hospital and 7 years working as a therapist in the Athletic Depts at UT Austin and CU Boulder, I've been involved with supporting my clients through the life challenges that high schoolers, young adults, and adults face for my entire professional career. I am EMDR certified and use this to treat trauma, eating disorders, chronic pain, urges in addiction/EDs, and sport performance (both positive reinforcement as well as treating mental blocks). I particularly enjoy teaching tools for navigating anxiety and depressive symptoms, helping to make peace with body image, and supporting mental performance for sport. I also have a passion for supporting perfectionists to expand their view of themselves and learn to release a little of the control that is actually controlling them!

College can bring big changes, new pressures, and moments that feel overwhelming. But you don’t have to carry it all on your own. With the right support, these challenges can also become opportunities for growth, confidence, and clarity. I work to help college students navigate transitions, manage stress, and heal from past experiences that may still feel present. In our work together, you’ll find a supportive space where you can be your real self with no pressure and no judgment. Using approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work and EMDR, I help clients uncover what’s beneath the surface, strengthen their sense of self, and move toward greater balance and resilience. My goal is to walk alongside you as you learn new ways to thrive, not just get by.

Do you feel stuck in anxiety, self-doubt, or emotional patterns that seem bigger than the present moment? Often, early experiences and relational wounds shape how we cope long after the moment has passed. When big feelings start affecting our daily life and relationships, it can feel exhausting and isolating. Whether I’m working with a child, a teen, or a young adult, my goal is the same: to create a safe, supportive space where big feelings are welcomed. Together we work toward deeper healing, not just temporary relief. Using insight-oriented exploration with practical tools, I help clients navigate challenges with anxiety, depression, identity development, and trauma. Therapy with me focuses on understanding the “why” behind your patterns while building skills that create real, lasting change. If you’re ready to feel calmer, more confident, and more understood, schedule a consultation today. Let’s talk about what’s happening and what support could look like through meaningful growth.

I’ve been where you are. I remember carrying 18+ credit hours, trying to keep up with classes, friendships, and life while wondering if I was on the right path. I changed my major what felt like a million times—from musical theatre to fashion merchandising, journalism, and public relations/advertising—before eventually becoming a teacher and then finding my calling as a therapist. Life doesn’t always follow a straight line, and that’s okay. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, ADHD, relationships, trauma, or simply trying to figure out what’s next, I want therapy to be a place where you feel understood, supported, and never judged. If I don’t accept your insurance, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I’m happy to work with private-pay clients and can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement if your plan includes out-of-network benefits. I’m also happy to answer any questions and help you figure out the most affordable option.
