College life and young adulthood is an exciting AND challenging stage of life! The thrill of independence is countered by the weight of adult responsibilities, the excitement of relationships also comes with challenges, and hopes for the future can be weighed down by current stressors and unresolved issues from the past. I love working with young adults as they navigate new challenges, heal from past wounds, and work towards a meaningful future. I work with clients using traditional talk therapy approaches and a modality called Brainspotting, which incorporates mindfulness, body awareness, and acceptance. Together, these interventions are helpful for a wide range of emotional issues.
As a passionate Licensed Professional Counselor, my years of experience and training allow me to understand the best ways to address each client’s needs in an effective manner. Whether it is skill building or insight oriented, I am flexible in my approach and use collaboration as the basis of my therapy—ensuring a comfortable, safe environment where we can work together on your goals. No two people are the same. That’s why the approach that I take in my services is highly-personalized and refined to fit the exact needs of my clients. I will help you recognize your underlying problems, fully realize your strengths and help you adjust to a new, healthier lifestyle using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based CBT, Existential Therapy (Logotherapy), Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Schema Therapy, and/or Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
I work with men, women, and couples who are wrestling with addiction, trauma, anger issues, relationship issues, and other life challenges. I believe there are times we feel trapped and long for freedom. I believe a tremendous amount of healing comes from truly connecting with ourselves and with others and I deeply believe in hope. Hope for change and a fuller, freer, and more joyous life. Let's set up a time to meet and I would be honored to travel with you on your journey towards freedom. I am an LPC with my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health. I am a combat veteran who has worked with people in the business world, in religious institutions, and now in the helping field of counseling. Taking that step to seek help is a bold and possibly intimidating step. However, you are worth pursuing your best life and I believe that we can work together to make that happen. Please feel free to call or email with any questions. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation for all new prospective clients.

She strives to create a safe and supportive environment where patients feel heard, validated, and actively involved in their treatment decisions. I help students struggling with anxiety and ADHD gain confidence and develop skills that support their neurodiverse brains. People diagnosed with ADHD are more likely to experience challenges with anxiety, depression, disordered eating, and sleep disorders; this combination can make functioning day-to-day feel like an uphill battle. In our work together, we'll explore self-compassion, your beliefs about yourself and the world, and actions to take to help you feel better. For clients who struggle with ADHD, we'll find ways to improve your executive function skills and how to advocate for your needs as a neurodiverse person. Finding a therapist can be a daunting task, I offer a complimentary 15-minute, no-strings-attached initial consultation so you can decide if I fit what you're looking for. If I'm not a match, I'll provide referrals to other providers who might be what you're looking for.
At Ellie - Aurora City Center we strive to meet our clients where they're at to help them get where they want to be. We don’t believe people are broken. But we also don’t believe that “fine” is the ceiling of their potential. We believe therapy is part of the ongoing work of being human. Being human is the hardest thing any of us will ever do and while there is no universal map or linear path, billions of people have walked this terrain before and their collective wisdom across multiple dimensions is essential to framing our understanding of ourselves and each other There’s insight, strategy, and perspective available but no one can walk the path for anyone else. Our role as therapists isn’t to dictate or diagnose from a distance. Nor are we passive companions. We walk with our clients, actively supporting their journeys with clarity, accountability, and emotional safety. Therapy is where insight becomes action, and where healing isn’t handed over—it’s created, felt, and lived. We promise to show up, bring our full humanity, and help clients travel their paths with courage and clarity.
My clients are what I like to call "smart, but stuck." If you experience anxiety, OCD, phobias, or panic attacks, you know how you can get tied into knots trying to arrange your life to control fearful thoughts and feelings. You might find yourself getting stuck in overthinking, repetitive actions, research, reassurance seeking, and avoidance of people, places, and situations that you used to enjoy. I help people get liberated from anxiety by getting unstuck from what doesn't work.
We often feel trapped by our circumstances, voiceless in our relationships and powerless to cause significant change in our lives. But whether you are seeking individual, couples, or group therapy, you have taken a leap into the process of healing. With curiosity and a fresh perspective, I aim to empower you to reclaim your voice, work towards the change you seek, and to meet your authentic self. Though you have already taken the first step, I hope to foster the healing process even further by providing a deeply caring, non-judgmental atmosphere. It has been important for me to work with a wide breadth of clients. I have experience with diverse age groups, races, gender identities, and sexual orientations, and have worked in community mental health, residential treatment, school settings, and private practice. If you are are seeking a space to explore feelings connected to lack of motivation, avoidance, anxiety, low self-esteem, difficulty in platonic and romantic relationships, and feeling burnout from your current way of moving through the world, know that there is hope of having a different experience of yourself, your relationships and the world around you. Within working with a wide breath of clients, I have a passion for men’s mental health and working with young men and the issues that come up in their lives today. Through it all, however, my approach has always been focused on the human in front of me, and in meeting them where they are. I work with my individuals, couples and groups to help you gain a better understanding of yourself and your relationships. With a psychodynamic lens and a belief that as a species we all have the need to connect, I look forward to hearing from you to see how we may feel about working together.

I help stressed out and anxious people of any gender to heal trauma, make work suck less, and get good at relationships. I’m an Denver LGBT therapist providing EMDR therapy with a decade of experience. I’m terrible at pop culture and I love puns. My goal for my clients is to have a sustainable life where you can thrive. I want you to feel like you can navigate what life throws at you, even if it’s hard. I’m deeply invested in finding out what works for you (vs. anyone else). I’m less likely to promote something as “healthy” in therapy and more likely to ask you how it’s working for you. I won’t look at you sideways when you drop your partner’s pronouns or ask me to use a new name for you. We’ll curse, cry, and probably (hopefully) laugh. We’ll be human together.
We all deserve the opportunity to be our best selves, heal from the past, and create the lives we dream of living. There is power in connection and self-discovery. With professional support, let’s uncover your wisdom and move towards a brighter future.
I specialize in working with adults of all genders who are struggling with unhealthy relationship patterns, low self-esteem, family of origin or attachment wounds, identity exploration, addiction, & more.
Hi! I’m Jenna, the therapist behind Gentle Minds Therapy (aka a professional over-thinker turned listener). I specialize in working with teens and young adults, because truly, those are some of the most confusing and challenging, yet exciting years of life. My approach is to keep things "human". I value making sure every session is a no-judgment zone and strive to make sure you feel understood and cared for. Even if what you need switches up week after week, we will tailor each session to what feels helpful to you!
I'm here to create a supportive and confidential space for your personal growth and well-being. As a licensed therapist, my approach integrates various therapeutic modalities to address a range of concerns. My work is client-centered and solution focused, combining EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Emotional Focused Therapy. I am a mental health and addiction counselor who has experienced the impact of mental health issues on myself, my family, my friends, and my community. I understand the importance of a safe, nonjudgmental space for exploration, introspection, and healing. I enjoy using creative modalities in conjunction with traditional theoretical frameworks to allow clients to explore challenges and questions from multiple perspectives. I bring experience, compassion, and advocacy to mental health, addiction, and recovery. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults. I use a sense of curiosity and the gifts my spiritual and scholastic mentors have given me to help guide my clients on their journey of discovery. A current curiosity has led me to an increased understanding of the neuroscience behind addiction and how the mind interacts with our bodies and the world around us. I believe everyone has a chance at discovering themselves and finding a fulfilling path in life no matter what your background. If you want to discover your true self, build coping skills to help with sobriety, depression, or anxiety, or if you need help processing trauma, please reach out for a free initial consultation.
