Meet Melissa, a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia. Holding an M.S. in Clinical Psychology with specializations in Clinical Counseling and Sex Therapy from Capella University, Melissa brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine desire to help others. Her foundation in psychology began at Kennesaw State University (Go Owls!), where she earned a B.S. in Psychology and a Minor in Statistics and Data Analysis. Melissa's diverse experience spans various settings, allowing her to connect with and support a wide range of individuals, including adults and children, couples, foster children, refugees, and Spanish speakers. She is also experienced in assisting those navigating challenges such as addiction, domestic violence, trafficking, and abuse. Adding a touch of warmth to her practice is Mochi, her three-year-old assistant clinical cat, who occasionally makes confidential appearances in telehealth sessions.
I employ a variety of approaches in my work including Dialetical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. I have particular expertise in helping trauma survivors. I help people heal from complex trauma by providing a safe, caring, non-judgmental therapeutic environment. College can be a stressful time, with new academic demands, social pressures, and uncertainty about the future. College can also be demanding with tight deadlines, exams, and responsibilities, leading to high levels of stress that can become overwhelming. I have special expertise in helping students navigate the demands of college. I have experience helping individuals who struggle with eating disorders, anxiety, and depression. I also have experience working with individuals who identify as part of a gender, sexuality or relationship structure minority (GSRM). I also have expertise in healing from narcissistic abuse. Narcissistic abuse is a type of emotional abuse where the abuser only cares about themselves and may use words and actions to manipulate their partner's behavior and emotional state. Healing from this kind of abuse requires expertise from the therapist about navigating boundaries, especially when there is a continuing relationship. I believe it is a privilege to accompany people on their therapeutic journey. I tailor my approach to each unique individual.

Jayde is a graduate of the University of Georgia’s Masters in mental health counseling program with experience seeing individuals and groups. As an autistic individual, Jayde seeks to help other neurodiverse individuals with identifying and accommodating their unique needs. Jayde operates with a social justice queer affirming lens utilizing modalities such as narrative therapy and interpersonal process theory. They are adept at pulling interventions from DBT, IFS, somatic, and mindfulness practice. Jayde prides themselves on their ability to connect, empathize with and advocate for their clients. Does it ever feel like it's all too much?
