Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just not like yourself? Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship stress, or the feeling of never being “enough,” you don’t have to face it alone. If you’re navigating cultural expectations or life transitions, I’m here to support you. I’m Zarina (she/her/ella), a bilingual Latina therapist in Texas, offering culturally affirming therapy in both English and Spanish. I specialize in helping BIPOC, Latinx, Spanish-speaking, and LGBTQ+ clients manage anxiety, depression, trauma, explore their identity, and navigate relationship challenges. My approach is relational-cultural, person-centered, and trauma-informed. In our work together, I’ll bring in humor, somatic practices, yoga, EMDR, mindfulness, and psychoeducation to strengthen the mind-body connection. I also focus on building self-compassion and boundary-setting so you can prioritize yourself and create the balance you need. I know it’s not always easy to ask for help, and it takes a lot of courage to even get to this point. My hope is to be someone who really listens, meets you where you are, and gives you the space and support you need to start your healing.

Hi, my name is Homero Lopez and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor. I specialize in working with adults that experience depression and anxiety associated with borderline, MDD, GAD and other challenges. I also work closely with relational challenges and couples. My focus is on non-traditional relationships. I work often with polycules, or individuals in nontraditional relationships to find balance and trust. My early sessions will be learning what you need and your goals for therapy. I have worked in places like the 988 crisis hotline and inpatient hospital settings where I provided comprehensive DBT group therapy for a wide variety of populations. I also heavily integrate Gottman methods into my couples work. I believe that everyone should have the capacity to live their life on their terms. Let's find that. I may sometimes seem to have a unique take on things as I think that we're all doing the best we can in the moment. I think that a lot of things people find to be different can make perfect sense given the right context. This doesn't mean that it's the most effective. Please feel free to schedule a call and let's see it make sense and what can be different.

Ellie Mental Health in McKinney, Texas isn’t your average therapy clinic. We’ve created a comfy, judgment-free zone where you can be authentic, get real about where you’re at in your mental health, and receive the compassionate care you deserve. We strive to break down treatment barriers and provide you with customized counseling services that meet your therapy needs.
The number one complaint I hear from my clients about past experiences with therapy is how impersonal and detached their experience felt. They craved more warmth, and a vested interest from their therapist in their growth — an ideal mixture of sincerity, kindness, advocacy, and accountability. Tailor-made for women, my approach weaves together all of these elements, creating a container that provides powerful and life-changing results. A sense of feeling safe, seen, and understood takes precedence over “fixing things,” since I don’t buy into the belief that any of us are broken to begin with. So, if you’re struggling with things like high anxiety, low-self worth, or simply feeling lost, then you’ve come to the right place. Together, we will work to break past your limiting behaviors and create space for self-compassion, deep emotional healing, and enriching relationships.
Trauma, Relationships, and Family Patterns — Helping You Build Healthier Connections If you’re feeling overwhelmed by past experiences, stuck in relationship patterns, or struggling with communication and connection, you’re not alone. I work with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating trauma, family-of-origin challenges, communication difficulties, cultural differences, and life transitions—and who are ready to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. As a practicum therapist in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Abilene Christian University, I am supervised by Julia Wesley, LMFT-S, and provide therapy in the Frisco and Prosper areas. In our work together, you can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we focus on understanding patterns—how you communicate, how your family-of-origin experiences shape your relationships, and how past experiences may still be impacting you today. I help clients build stronger communication skills, navigate conflict more effectively, and develop healthier, more fulfilling relationships. I am especially passionate about working with those impacted by trauma and helping clients make sense of how their past connects to their present. My approach is grounded in family systems and relational therapy, meaning we look at how your relationships, environment, and experiences all interact. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we work to understand the bigger picture and create lasting change in the patterns that matter most to you. I strive to provide a culturally sensitive and inclusive space, and I am committed to supporting clients from diverse backgrounds, including those within the LGBTQ+ community. Before entering the therapy field, I worked in leadership and people management, where I developed strong skills in communication, conflict resolution, and supporting individuals through challenges. I bring that real-world experience into the therapy room to help clients apply practical tools in their daily lives. I am also passionate about supporting diverse and underserved communities. My work as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Ambassador and ADHD advocate reflects my commitment to creating an inclusive, culturally aware space where clients feel seen, respected, and understood. Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, but you don’t have to do it alone. If you’re ready to begin your healing journey or want to see if we’re a good fit, I invite you to connect.

If you’re a college student feeling overwhelmed, burned out, stuck, or wondering “why is this so hard for me when it seems easier for everyone else?” — you’re not alone. I specialize in providing trauma-informed therapy that is tailored to meet the cultural framework of diverse clients, including BIPOC, LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, women of color, children of immigrants, and survivors of interpersonal trauma (i.e. child abuse, sexual assault, intimate partner violence). As a therapist, I am dedicated to building a therapeutic environment that encourages authenticity, transparency, and compassion. I take a client-oriented approach that centers around my belief that people can take charge of their journey to healing and recovery. I trust that the client is the expert of their own lives, and my role is to consistently empower them to develop toolkits to be able to navigate daily struggles and lived experiences.
I attempt to gather information in an easy manner, not "drilling" questions so people can feel comfortable sharing. I inquire whether previous counseling has been attempted to understand prior experiences with therapy and how it was helpful or not. I am a hopeful, positive person and try to help others find their strengths, positivity and hope within them as well. I will ask what goals a client has for themselves for therapy and life so we can focus on achieving those goals. As an experienced therapist, I recognize that people have had difficulty in their lives and do not diminish their story or not discuss the "hard parts" while we try to find ways to heal.

My goal is to help you address trauma so that you can form healthy and meaningful relationships. We will explore how past trauma is showing up in your current relationships with others, and how it is affecting your relationship with yourself. I aim to serve as a reminder to you that a positive life after pain is possible with the right tools & coping skills. My goal is to remind you that your strength & value comes from within. Your past does not define who you are today. You deserve peace. Show yourself grace, and schedule a free 15 minute consultation to start your process of healing.
I have a passion for working with youth who are navigating trauma, anxiety, identity, substance use, and other mental health issues. I'm specifically honored to serve LGBTQiA+ folks as a proud member of the queer community myself. I love helping anyone tap into their autonomy, self-love, find their strengths, and accomplish their goals. I practice harm reduction, which helps people determine how to do what they want to do (whether that be coming out as transgender or non-binary, building community, sexual exploration, drug use, etc.) to their own level of comfort and safety at their own pace. I provide a collaborative and open approach to therapy without any judgement. You are in the driver's seat and determine what the destination is. I'm just in the passenger's seat with a stack of maps, helping you find your path.
